Dance Central 3 for the Xbox 360 is a motion-controlled rhythm game that requires the Kinect sensor for full-body tracking. The game features a story mode where players join the Dance Central Intelligence agency to stop a global conspiracy by traveling through different musical eras. It includes a soundtrack of over 40 songs ranging from 1970s disco to modern chart-toppers. New gameplay modes include Crew Throwdown, which allows up to eight players to compete in mini-games and dance battles. Players can also import routines from previous titles to expand their library on the Xbox 360.
