How Are Games Cleaned and Tested?

We carefully inspect every game before testing. Discs with noticeable scratches are resurfaced, and cartridge contacts are cleaned as needed.

After cleaning, we test each game by running it for about 30 seconds. For newer consoles, where discs are mainly used for installation and as a license, we verify functionality by allowing the game to begin installing for 30 seconds.

Finally, we clean the case or replace it if necessary.

If you receive a game that doesn’t work for any reason, just reach out and we’ll make it right.

What Is The Difference Between Game Variants: New, Complete, Game Only, and No Manual

We use these variant labels to clearly distinguish the condition of each game:

New

  • Factory sealed.
  • Never previously used or opened
  • Original packaging (unless otherwise noted)

Complete

  • Cleaned, tested, and fully working (resurfaced when needed)
  • Includes case, cover art, and manual (if originally included)
  • For games with a case, the game, manual, and cover art may be transferred to a new case.
  • Extras like maps, inserts, or download codes are not guaranteed. If you’re looking for a specific item, feel free to reach out before ordering and we’ll do our best to help.

Note: Most games released after 2013 did not include manuals and are still considered Complete. Check the Specifications panel for “Physical Manual Not Manufactured.”

No Manual

  • Cleaned, tested, and fully working (resurfaced when needed)
  • Does not come with manual or any extra inserts. It does come with plastic game case with cover art.
  • For games with a case such as PlayStation 2 the game and cover art may be transferred to a new case.

Game Only

  • Cleaned, tested, and fully working (resurfaced when needed)
  • Only comes with the game, does not come with original box/case, cover art, manual, or other inserts.

What Is The Difference Between Conditions: Good, Fair, and Acceptable

For cartridge-based games, condition refers to the physical appearance of the cartridge shell and label. All listed games are inspected, cleaned, and tested to work properly.

Good

A cartridge in Good condition shows normal signs of use but still presents well overall. The label is fully intact and easy to read, with only light wear such as minor scuffs, small edge wear, or light discoloration.

The cartridge shell may have light scratches or minor cosmetic marks from handling, but it will not have cracks, major chips, heavy staining, or significant label damage.

Fair

A cartridge in Fair condition has more noticeable cosmetic wear but is still functional and collectible/playable. This may include heavier scratches, scuffs, discoloration, worn plastic, writing or sticker residue, label wear, small label tears, fading, or other visible age-related flaws.

The label is still mostly identifiable, but the cartridge will show clear signs of use and age.

Acceptable

A cartridge in Acceptable condition has significant cosmetic wear but still works as intended. This may include heavy scratches, major discoloration, writing, sticker residue, torn or heavily worn labels, peeling labels, missing portions of the label, or other substantial cosmetic flaws.

The cartridge shell is intact enough to safely insert and remove from the console, but it may look heavily used.

Older cartridge games can vary widely in appearance due to age, handling, storage, and label wear, so these condition options help set clear expectations before purchase.

Why Isn't There Always An Option For Condition?

For most games on our website, a condition selection is not necessary because the items already meet our internal standards for good to near-mint condition. We carefully inspect our inventory and generally only list games on the website that present very well cosmetically.

The main exception is with older cartridge-based games, such as Atari 2600 and similar retro titles. Due to their age, it is significantly more difficult to source examples in very good to near-mint condition, so these categories will often include condition selections to better describe cosmetic differences between items.

If a game has more noticeable cosmetic wear or flaws that fall outside our preferred website standards, it is typically listed on our eBay store instead, where detailed photos of the exact item are provided so you can review its condition before purchasing.

Pre-owned products vary in age and usage history, minor cosmetic wear may be present. We do not sell games on our website that have any significant defects or missing components.

Do You Ship Internationally?

At this time, we don’t offer international shipping. However, we proudly ship anywhere within the United States and all U.S. territories. We’re always reviewing our shipping options, so international delivery may be added in the future.

How Long Does Shipping Take?

Orders typically ship out the same or next business day. You will receive a confirmation email letting you know we received your email and a second email with your tracking number as soon as your order is prepared for shipment. eFunStar offers Free Shipping from the USA on orders over $75. Delivery time may vary depending on your location. In most cases, your order will be shipped out the same day it is received when ordering before 12 PM MST.

The delivery time to your location will vary depending on which courier method you select in checkout.

We offer the following options for orders shipped within the U.S.

  • USPS Ground Advantage 2-5 Business Days
  • USPS Priority Mail 2-3 Business Days
  • UPS Next Day Air Overnight by 3 PM
  • UPS Ground Saver 2-5 Business Days

A tracking number will be sent to you immediately upon preparing your shipment so that you can follow your package while in transit.

Please note: We will get your item(s) shipped within 24 hours on business days, however we do not have control over delivery times after it has dispensed from our warehouse. Delivery times are the quoted timeframes by USPS and UPS themselves, not by eFunStar. These times are not guaranteed by eFunStar. If a claim is needed to be filed for delivery issues, it needs to be filed directly with the courier. As stated above, we will do everything possible and ensure your order is shipped from our facility within the quoted handling time stated in our shipping policy.

When Will I Be Charged For My Order?

Your payment is charged securely at checkout when your order is placed. This is the standard process for online orders and allows us to confirm your purchase, reserve the item from our inventory, and begin preparing your order for shipment.

Can I Return an Item?

The majority of items may be returned within 30 days for a refund, including if you changed your mind, ordered the wrong item, or no longer need the product. We also offer free returns to help keep the process simple.

Used video games, accessories, and consoles may generally be returned within 30 days as long as they are returned in the same condition received, with all included components when applicable.

New factory-sealed video games cannot be returned once opened unless the item is defective.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method after the returned item is received and inspected. Exchanges may be available depending on inventory.

Can I Change or Cancel My Order After Placing It?

If your order has not shipped, we can add, delete, or modify items and quantities. You may get ahold of us through live chat or by email.  If the order has already shipped out to you, you are able to return items for up to 30 days as per our Return and Refund Policy.

Will I Receive Tracking Information For My Order?

Yes, you will receive a tracking number immediately after your shipment is prepared for disbursement from our warehouse. For more detail please see our shipping policy.

What If My Order Arrives Damaged or Incorrect?

If you receive an incorrect or damaged/defective item, you can absolutely return it to us to get it corrected.  You may choose to be refunded, or to exchange it for the correct item in the event of an errored shipment

Errored shipment: eFunStar pays return shipping. You send the item back to us and we will return the correct item.

Defective item: eFunStar pays return shipping. You send the item back and we will send you the replacement. If for some reason it is out of stock, you will be refunded in full.

Do You Charge Sales Tax?

We only charge sales tax where required. If sales tax applies based on your location, it will be displayed at checkout before you place your order. If you don’t see sales tax listed during checkout, then no sales tax is being charged.
